rubbish christmas presents

I received so many rubbish presents this year so today I brought them all back for a refund. Most of them were already marked down to half price but I didn't care and took the money and bought what I needed. Is this wrong? I know it's the thought that counts and all that jazz and besides who will ever know that I returned nearly everything? I'm so happy that christmas is over.
