rim on car

Bought 4 rims from wheel wizard on midlothian turnpike, a long while ago, and husband got a flat tire and somehow it ruined one of the rims. he went back to them to see if there is anykind of warranty on this and they tell him no, and can't get anymore of this kind, but they can weld it. husband said ok. my husband went and picked up the rim today and i asked her if it would hold out being welded, and she responds, yea till he hits something else. what kind of response is this? They sell you 4 rims and it wasn't definite he hit something. could have been a nail.
