The electrician I hired for $8,000 failed to finish the job. In lieu of the $4,000 he is owed, I had to hire another electrician for $1,500. Now that the job is finished by other contractors, I will deduct the $1,500, plus $400 for no electricity over the weekend and a new garage door opener, plus $500 for drywall repair and patch. His final amount will be paid in the amount of $1,600.
