regretful past

I should make my confession in the eyes of god at church but I'm ashamed of what I did in the past and I'm afraid I will not be forgiven and it will get me in a lot of trouble with the law as well as the people involved. I've been carrying this worry on my shoulders for eleven years and I regret it more and more each day. It's eating me up inside.
