I purchased an air bed from Regin,Inc of Port Charlotte, FL 4/15/03, trying to save a few hundred dollars off what Select Comfort wanted. Regin's promotion is on the web pretty much touting Select Comfort's guarantee. Too good to be true never had so much meaning. The air bed started leaking air within six months, and they sent me some valve seals to replace in the air pump. That didn't work so they sent me two air pumps on the condition of charging my credit card $189.25 and crediting my acct w/$149.50 after they received the defective pumps, charging me $39.75 for shipping. They didn't trust me why should I trust them, but I was stuck with air bed that I had already paid $1058.00 for. The pumps arrived, I put them in and the bed still leaked. I try to call back and finally get someone, and they inform me the pumps checkout OK, so it must be the vinyl mattresses. They're going to send me some more under the same deal as the pumps only charging $39.75 for shipping. The mattresses arrive, I put them in, one of them still leaks. I've called these people so many times, sometimes reaching sometimes not, I'm beginning to reach a senario. I know these people by their names, Dick Lahr and Pam Comstock. Pam is usually there during the day and is very rude and not very helpful. Dick is there after 5:00 PM and more understanding and somewhat helpful. These two people do not manufacture air beds, they're strictly middlemen (mom and pop) for an air bed company called Vinyl Products out of Carson City,NV. Nevada is where you mail the defective parts. I call Regin back about the leaky mattress, and get Pam on the phone. She informs me the company has found nothing wrong w/the parts I've have sent back and I need to talk to Dick. After numerous attempts to reach him, he sends me one more mattress and it leaks. I call them back trying to be cordial and Pam answers. She says I have complained too many times, there is nothing wrong with the products sent back. I remind her of the 20 year warranty. She says that warranty is limited the company cannot help me. On one of my returns they failed to reimburse me. This company just outright ripped me off. The bed is useless if can't hold air. Later on I found staple used in the manufacturing process imbedded in some foam evidently poking holes in the vinyl mattresses, but Pammy said their was nothing wrong w/the products I was mailing back.
