Rebate denial

I bought a pc monitor from Office Depot...all conditions were met..they refused to pay rebate due to purchase date..My purchase date was correct, but had to exchange the monitor the next day because it was faulty...store said the date was ok for rebate, but rebate dept. refused to pay...DON'T DEPEND ON REBATE FROM OFFICE DEPOT
