Radio Shack has a poor insurance plan for Verizon

Radio Shack has dropped the ball when it comes to it's insurance plan for Verizon phones. If something happens to your phone you can expect to get a (badly) reconditioned replacement phone. You may go through as many as four replacement phones before you have one that works. When your 'new' non-working, replacement phone arrives it won't have a battery either. I would call this lousey customer service.
