Promble with Acer

I got this acer travelmate from circuit city back in Jan06. After I got the pc for like 3weeks, there was a vertical red line(couple of inches of width) across from top of my screen all the way to the bottem, so I tried to take it back to the circuit city, but according to them, they will only exchange it within 2weeks of the initial purchase, so i called acer repair for help and 2weeks later, I got my laptop back with a new monitor, so I was ok, but the story didn't end there, between Jan and Sep, I had sent in for repair for 4 times, 1st the monitor, 2nd time was the DVD ROM, 3rd time and 4th time were both the USB port's problem. And 2weeks ago, I sent in again for fix because my laptop couldn't be turned on completely. and yesterday i got a call from acer repair, according to their customer service, they didn't fix my laptop because I didn't packing it properly, and now it got a crack on the monitor. which I told her I pack the laptop always the same with the original Acer box, but she wasn't going to buy that, and told me that if I want to get it to be fixed, it'll cost me $600+(forgot the specific amount). The fact is that if I'm buying a new one with better features, It'll cost only the simular price, so I told her to just send my laptop back. But I was kind of frustrated due to the fact that my cousins and other family relatives all own laptops (4 total besides mine) and they all got it from dell, and one of my cousin's dell laptop even got it before me, and he only sent it in for fix for once, either i'm having a really bad luck or my cousin got better luck. Hopefully someone can tell me, what should I do in this situation? and Thx.
