Private Eye Dilemma

I am a private investigator with some high-profile clients. My more interesting cases involve people who suspect their spouses of infidelity. Often those are the easy cases. All I need do is follow the mark and within the week, I’d have my evidence. Recently, a man contracted me to find proof that his wife was cheating on him. I was shocked when he showed me the wife’s photo. She had been my lover for six months and I had no idea she was married. When I asked her, she shrugged. I don’t know what to do. Should I follow my heart or my work?

Conflict of interest! You saw her reaction, she was indifferent to being caught in her lie. That is a glimpse into her real character and one that will crush you if you stay with her. Get rid of her and drop the case.
