Pricesrite Ripoff

We just received the DVD Recorder from Pricesrite yesterday and upon Professional set up by a Direct-TV technician we found the following problem: The issue with the DVD recorder is that when I connect the HDMI Cable between the DVD and new Philips Plasma TV the DVD shows an error message on the display of ERR-3B indicating HDMI errors exist. I called a Toshiba Customer service rep today and she opened a file under my name - I related to her that I have 2 HDMI cables and have tried both with the same result. Nothing that they could do would solve the issue. Note that I am also concerned that this NEW purchase shows that it was manufactured in September 2004 - if it was refurbished and sold as new there are legal ramifications to that. Please advise as soon as possible... Subsequent contacts with Pricesrite have been stonewalled, but they did offer to have me return the defective machine but want to charge me 20% plus shipping to do so! NEVER buy from PricesRite!!
