Popcorn

Last night at the cinema my evening was ruined by the person sitting next to me munching loudly through a bucket of popcorn and slurping a vat of coca cola. Why must cinemas insist on making extra profits by selling noisy food? If they must sell refreshments could they not limit them to quiet food such as mushy peas, luke warm soup, soft boiled eggs?
