Picking dry skin

I have a big patch of eczema or something on my middle finger. It itches a bit, gets weepy and then dry and flaky. I've been picking off the flakes till my finger bleeds. The other day I had a water blister in that area. I squeezed it and the hot water spurted on my glasses.
