Pay raise

It has been amusing reading the comments here. Mostly complaints about size and frequency of raises or bonuses. Try working in the 'real' world where you actually have competition. I have gone for over 8 years without a raise. And 2 of those 8 years I took a cut in pay because of losing a job, finding a new job, but at a lower pay rate. Then finally changing jobs one more time to finally get back to what I was making 3 years before. I am now making what I was being paid 8 years ago finally once again. While everything else in life continues to increase in costs, my annual pay rate has not. Count your blessings guys. Even a job that 'sucks' but has cola is better than the alternative.
