i rentented a 24ft. truck from budget truck rental in hollis,n.y.when i picked up the truck i signed all the paper work and used my credit card.the manager pulled the truck out of its space.we inspected the truck together.he handed me the keys and said he forgot to give me a hand truck and moving furniture pads.the next day when loading the truck we ran short of pads.looking at my contract it said hand truck rental and 24 pads.we only had 15 pads.upon dropping off the truck in newburgh ny the check in manager counted 15 pads and said i would have to pay $80.00 for 8 missing pads in order for the truck to clear drop off.ithey charget my credit card and i was told to call budget consumer help desk.i spoke to several reps and i was told that the mgr in queens said he put 2 bundles on the truck and they have to take his side.i dont steal moving pads i was insulted when the costumer service rep said i will never get my money back.and she refused to give me her full name.it bothers me because i signened the contract before i ever left the office and the mgr just tossed the pads on the truck.does not look like a company that has total quality management.ps.my copy of the online confirmation had moving pads rental ,no number.
