Obesity MYTH

I found this on the net.I thought it was brilliant and so utterly true. There has been alot in the news and well everywhere about how obese people are alledgedly a strain on healthcare.Really, where is the evidence.Doctors are gods so we should take their word for it.Are these authentic facts or fat bias doctors twisting the facts.?For example a normal weight woman has a complication during pregnancy, the doctors deal with it and say its just one of those things,we dont know why it happens,BUT,if an obese woman has the EXACT same problem,it is deemed to be because of the weight, without question and this is what ends up going into the so called 'facts'.This discrimination occurs with anything, you name it.It is assumed that all obese people have bad eating habits, eat too much and dont exercise, this too is a load of crap.As an obese person myself { I dont appreciate the label but anyway} I eat an organic diet,I eat less than my 10 year old and I walk several times a week and have had 3 babies without complications.I still cannot lose the weight. They ignorantly roll us all into one category. We as a family mabe have fast food 2-3 times per YEAR,it is considered a treat.I will be honest,my kids get pop and hotdogs,on whole wheat buns for their birthdays, pop too is a treat, otherwise my kids get water.I cook from scratch. We eat wild meat.Despite me having totally normal pregnancies and easy births the doctor refused to say that my pregnancies were 'normal'.We are instantly placed in a high risk category with NOTHING to justify it.On the American dental association web site it says that obese people may have more gum disease, pardon me.I have never had gum disease and again they made this statement with nothing to back it up or justify it.In the last 2 weeks of pregnancy my ankles swelled a bit-totally normal. The doctor involved at the time told me that my blood pressure must be dangerously high.He looked rather sheepish when it was totally normal. Obesity was deemed a 'disease' so the pharm industry could make majic pills and suck more money out of the public.I for one dont believe that the pharm or medical industry wants anyone to be healthy they are too greedy.100,000 people every year die at the hands of these money grabbing industries and they try to deem herbs and vitamins as being 'dangerous'.Give me a break. We are told to blindly trust them.I dont think so.Obese people avoid doctors because they are discriminated against. They wait for something to be really wrong before going to a doctor. No matter how much I tell my doctor that we do have a healthy diet, doctors dont want to hear it,they want to hold tight to their myths, after all there isnt as much money to be made with truth.I admit there are obese people out there who really do have bad diets and dont exercise. There are just as many thin people doing the same and ending up in hospital, but nothing is ever said about them.An ex-friend of mine is 110lbs soaking wet,she lives on chips, hot dogs, junk and rarely leaves her house. She has multiple health problems, she has had surgeries on her knees, shes sick all the time. Why isnt something being said about these people.Fat is visible so therefore its attackable. Why not focus on nutrition education. My familiy has photos of people from 50 years back, these people worked on a farm, walked 3 miles to school their food was limited, they were all obese and they all lived to be in their late 80's,they died of cancers that today would have been operable.I believe what the medical community is doing amounts to harassment and fraud. How many millions,if not billions are they making off of diet pills and surgeries.I would like to see it investigated. The current childhood obesity problem is a seperate issue. It all stared when children were almost ritualistically dumped into daycares to be raised then brought home, plunked in front of the tv and fed boxed garbage that is loaded with sugar, hydrogenated oil,and I believe hormone and body altering chemicals and preservatives..When doctors attitudes toward obese people change then I believe we will see change. They need to focus on good nutrition, herbs and vitamins not weight loss.As long as they look down on,harrass and discriminate the problem is not going to go away.Doctors are using fear tactics to get people into doctors offices so they will be good little patients/robots and take their latest drug/poison.I say no way.I dont even poison my kids with vaccines, funny how formaldehyde has been deemd to be toxic at any level yet its perfectly okay to put in our children, its the main ingredient in vaccines.Doctors and drugs have their place there is no doubt about that, but at the same time I approach with caution.
