Our company incorporated in May 2006. We tried to open a business account with O2 for mobile telephones in November 2006, but O2 have refused - merely because we have not yet filed accounts at Companies House - this is not a legal requirement until a company has been incorporated for at least a year. This is straight discrimination against newly incorporated companies. If they were less arrogant, they would at least ask if we wanted to give directors' guarantees, which we woudl be prepared to do. But as its too high-handed to have thought of that, you may as well avoid it from the outset, rather than suffer some other inevitable problem later on.
