I have been waiting for a refund from North American Van Lines since my move was completed on January 17, 2006. The weight of my goods that they transported came in under the estimated weight. So therefore I am due a partial refund. I have been promised this refund many times by North American Van Lines several times over the last 8 months. The last promise made by NAVL was that my refund check was issued on August 18, 2006 and mailed by August 21, 2006. Today, August 28th, 2006 I was told that my check had not been mailed and that it would be mailed today (a week after they promised it was mailed before). I am growing weary of the constant lies and excuses made my North American. I chose North American because I was lead to beleive that the larger moving companies like them treated their customers better and provided superior service. Next time I will rent a Uhaul and move my stuff myself. I could have saved myself thoughsands of dollars and months of grief and frustration.
