I haven fallen to be a victim. The abuser is AOL! I canceled my account with AOL about 3 to 4 months ago and received a confirmation number and telling me that my account will not be charged. So today 10/20/06 I check my account and what do I see a fraudulent charge from AOL / *Netmarket in the amount of $99.99. I called the number that was given to me by my bank for I could not find a number to AOL. I contacted 1-877-209-0226 and spoke with a woman and discussed the fraudulent charge and she said that AOL had a package and that was not canceled. I told her that I had no idea that there was packages and that I have canceled AOL 3 to 4 months ago. The woman proceeded to try to speak about the networking shopping package on how it can save me money and wanted to know if I would be interested in having it? I told her no and I want to this fraudulent charge be resolved! I was given a confirmation number and was told it would take 10 to 15 days to be resolved and the money issued back into my account. Well, that was not satisfying enough for me for I became a victim. I contacted my bank again to dispute the claim and they were nice and very helpful and took the information like conformation number and the person name and asked how long I have not been a member. I was told by my back they would decline the charge and it would show in 24 hours. Now, since I have fallen to be a victim of Fraudulent Charges! I am not understanding how AOL can continue to be abuser! AOL needs to be stopped!
