My wife died a few years ago. My son lives half way across the US and I rarely see him. My daughter lives 10 miles from me, and is a self centered bitch. She never calls and I never see her. My grandkids ( my wife and I were very close to them when they were growing up) are now busy with their own lives and I never see them, nor do they call. Essentially, I am all alone. However, I live comfortably, and get along just fine. I don't ask for anyone's pity. You just have to learn to compensate and be thankful for what blessings you do have.

If your parents disowned you because you're gay then there a bunch of idiots. Why kill yourself because of them? They probably feel like a lot of people that you simply chose to be gay but that is a myth. We're gay because that's the way we were born and there's nothing we can do about it. It's like your parents are punishing you for something you have no control over. They're not worth killing yourself for. I know--life can be a fucking bitch sometimes with a lot of narrow-minded people in the world (including parents) but it can be wonderful at times too.
