I hired Metairie Movers (aka Mr. Mover)to move me. There were two men that were sent to do the move. One guy was doing most of the work while the other one stayed by the truck with the dollie loading things in the truck and then out of the truck when I got to the place I moved to. The man would dollie most of the furniture to the foyer, leave it and let the other one carry things in and up the stairs (I moved to a townhouse), connect all appliances, bedframes, etc. while the other one stood out by the truck and waited. I felt so sorry for the one doing most of the work especially after he was having such a hard time working alone. Many times I thought the man might even pass out or fall. I asked the guy staying at the truck to please come and help with the work and he told me very strongly...'that's the way I work.' Needless to say, things got worse between him and me. He was so rude and disrespectful that I called his boss and told him the situation. The boss 'Woody' called the man doing most of the work and told him not to unload any more of my belongings until I paid them in CASH. However, 'Woody' originally told me that I could pay with a local check. At that time, they put what was left of my belongings that they had out waiting to roll in back into the truck until I paid almost $500 in cash. When I told the men it may take me a while to find the exact amount of cash they told me it did not mattter because 'Woody' told them that they would both be fired when they got back to the office - even the man that was working hard and very polite to me! I got very upset over this because of the hard working one. He told me that 'Woody' told him that he was getting fired too because he should have been the one to call and complain to him. I will NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY AGAIN - IT WAS A NIGHTMARE OF A MOVE. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
