New job

I just started a new job, and I am not doing to well. I have never worked at a bank before. Today the boss left to get coffee and someone came in for a money order. I knew what to do, I knew that I had to keep a copy, but this girl I work with told me that was wrong, just take the money and give it to him. When my boss came back she said where's the copy? The other girl didn't say a thing. After we tried to fix it, the other girl said to my boss “is there anything I can help you with.” I feel so bad. I don't want to lose my job, but I don't think they will keep me for much longer. I wish I knew what I was doing.
