Well I am the author of the original post and Im not very impressed with your suggestions.

This is in response to the author of this message, which I suspect is not the same person as the author of the original post: there doesn't have to be a bad apple. there isn't any family who doesn't need therapy in one way or another. take a break and give yourself some time, like a couple of days, and then come back to the post and ask yourself why did this comment move you so...wha do you know about what i think? you don't. I know nothing about you, so i'm responding to the content of the post, not the author. Relax girl. If I'm wrong fine, it makes no difference to me...remember this is about your son, not me.

In actual fact no, we don't all need therapy, sorry to disapoint you. I'm in the process of having his schools educational psychologist get to know him. It may be long overdue and I may have done things incorrectly. What parent hasn't? You don't know a thing about my family, you read this and I bet you think, oh 5kids, the parents probably don't work, there's bound to be one bad apple in the bunch. WRONG.

Regardless of what has come before or what could have or should have been done. The real issue is that now he needs some help with reorganizing his thinking and behavior. He sounds very emotional and strongwilled, which is not a good or bad thing. You yourself have done nothing 'wrong', he has special needs and he sound highly creative, artistic, and strong willed. Channel that into something productive. My whole point is that screw that guilt, shame, and anger. Deal with the reality of what is in front of you and make the best of the situation. There are free state services you can solicit for help. Good luck.

The whole family needs therapy. He's probably just acting out the family's dark side and everyone kinda just blames him for everything. He's the black sheep, but there is hope. Therepy girl, get therapy for you, for him, for the family.

Yeah that's a fair point I must admit.

He's 10years old. He's the youngest apart from one of his sisters.

How old is he? It sounds clichéd but some kids really need an outlet. I remember reading about this one dude who was obsessed with torture, sexual ambiguity and even fornicating with trash cans (for real) and that guy was Harmony Korine, now pretty much the face of modern independent cinema. He even made a movie about humping trash called... trash humpers. Also, you think John Waters wasn't a fucking phsyco when he was a kid. Its all about directing it somewhere constructive, usually the arts.

Ohhh...he definitely needs to have a examination under psychiatrist. He can only treat your son. Under the treatment your son will be fine.

He's far too gone for you to make a difference now, you need real help. He needs to go to a secialist on abnormal behavior, gender identity, and anger management. It's sad to say, but under your watch this kid was developed.

If the original family was murdered, it was probably by him. Then again maybe this is part of his vision for your future. Beware.
