Five years ago I made friends with another woman at the gym who, like me, is in her 40s and married, although unhappily. We go out as a foursome and it's really obvious that my husband is attracted to her. He asks about her constantly, his behavior changes when she comes around and it's starting to worry me. She is extremely attractive and has sometimes been mistaken for a famous model name cindy crawford. He says she's not his type. I wonder why I feel threatened by this woman? We have been married for 13 years and he has never strayed. I'm thinking about ending the friendship because I don't want my husband to be tempted to cheat on me.

Sounds to me like you have this perfectly in perspective. You may have invited trouble, inadvertantly. IMO, one of the biggest mistakes married people make is relationships with 'friends' which compromise the exclusiveness/oneness of marriage. Focus on your husband. The most valuable and attractive thing you possess in marriage is between your ears. Imagine and dream of new things to bolster your intimacy . You can do this and when you do, you'll have your husband's undivided attention. Best wishes to you!
