My Future Career

I haven't told this to anyone except for immediate family members. I want to make a living by building drum sets. It's one of those things where everyone looks down on you for having a DREAM set out. Yes, this is my dream job. People know I play and they say I'll never make it or I should just give up. Has it stopped me? No. But the hard part for me is having a dream that everyone would look down on and insult you for.

Why wouldn't you make it? There's lots of things that need to be hand-crafted in this world. May as well be you making drums. At least you have a dream. That puts you light-years ahead of many who haven't the foggiest notion of any kind of dream in their lives, even though they'd give anything to have one and achieve it.
