My friends fiancé want me and two of my other friends to be his groomsmen

So my friend is getting married to her boyfriend that she only known for six months and has been date for about a month and a half in April of next year. I sways knew that she would be the first one of us to get married but the guys she getting married to wants me and our two other friends to be groomsmen and we've only meet this dude once. I find it a little weird that he want three guys he barely knows to do that for him. If I was going to get married I know I'd want my friends or family to do it not three of my fiancées friends to do it. He has to have friends or family he can ask because my friend know how we are and how crazy we can be she know I can't stand still so I'm going to be bouncing around up there not to mention having to wear a suit she knows I hate that which is just going to make me even more jittery. The only plus side I can see of this is I get to see her sister in a dress and get to dance with her. I know I'm not the only on who thinks is weird both of my other friends do to and so do my parents. Does anyone else think that is weird to have your fiancées friend be your groomsmen and not your own.
