Today, is the day I was sexually assaulted. It took forty-eight hours or less before I reported it. Two years later and I don't know where my rape/evidence kit is. I've given up on legal institutions to protect me. I seek God and self protection to heal. I'm in a standstill in my life. In transition. I feel slightly guilty for giving myself permission to take time off from work, schedules, being 'busy', and responsibilities to figure it 'all out.'
