I honestly don't know where to start or how I even wound up in this mess. I'm genuinely nice guy that came from a middle-working class family background. everything needed to sustain life I have so I can't realllly complain because life is good. I just can't drink at semi formal (work) (family) functions, because I honestly just can't have 1,2 or even 6 drinks it's all or nothing for me. Sure I wish I could just chalk it up to an alcohol problem and leave it at that but I can't. I'll literally try anything with the exception of heroin to chase a buzz. From pills to coke to weed really I start to get so anxious if I'm not buzzed off of something that it's beginning to interfere with my day to day life. If I'm in a new environment, the first thing I'll do is to try and find any prescription pills (thank god for google) maybe down 3 beers in under 5 minutes or whatever poison is available. I just have a gut feeling one day it will catch up with me.

Hey, you should consider seeing a counselor about this. These kinds of things are hard to control on our own. They might be able to help you figure out what's causing you to always be chasing a buzz. It could be emotional, could be neurological, it could be conditional/circumstantial, or all of the above. Who knows. Just find a counselor you can rely on... Plus, if you are worried this will catch up to you. It would be nice to have something on record to prove that this is an actual problem you have and you didn't just screw up. Good luck!

(Op) I'm actually a 26 year old and going by society's standards I'm quite successful However if being a pussy is considered that I acknowledge I have a problem then I guess I'm just one big yeast infection. We all have our demons and I know only God can judge me

not true at all, I'm self employed and own and operate my own business and my wife stays home while I pay the bills. I actually hate alcohol because it takes too long to kick in and every 15 minutes I have to piss like a race horse. Alcohol is a last resort but it's easily accessible
