I'm about to join the military. And Im scarred shitless. Not for myself. I'm not afraid to die. The thought of having to take the life of another human being; it just wrecks me. I don't know if it comes down to it; I don't know if I can do my job. Will I go to Hell for killing who my country tells me to kill?

To become a soldier is proud for nation. Look when enemy attack on us we have to be defense our self, then why you thinking like that. If you afraid then move back to your home and surfing the tv channels that's it.

When it's really happening, you don't know if it's your shot that killed them or not and you're too busy trying to stay alive to worry about it. And unless you're heavily religous, i doubt you need to worry about hell. If you are heavily religous, just apply for a position that isn't front line and you'll be fine.
