Motorola B60 cell phone battery

I just bought a new Sprint PCS Motorola phone, wadev er the cheapest standard phone they offer, and they installed a BT60 SNN5744B battery into it, which immediately popped up a BATTERY ERROR message onto the screen. Wouldnt you know it they guy who works there has, 'never seen anything like this before...' Not only does he not know what the message is, or why it is there, but he takes it into the back and then comes out to tell me what I had already asked for: a new working battery. My complaint is this: Now, whenever I leave the phone on for 2-3 days without charging, it will slowly lose its charge as normal. But, when I turn the phone off from 9am - 6pm and then turn it back on when I get off work, the battery is completely dead. I have asked a few other people who have the same battery and they tell me the same story. I am not a techie, so I can not offer any sort of technical data or solutions. This is just a complaint!
