i am a 39 yr old separated mother of three teenagers. i have diabetes and gastreoparisis along with severe nerve damage from my diabetes. i also have severe depression and anxiety. i have worked since i was 12 yrs old, up until last year when i became so sick i had to stop. i have always tried to be a fair, hardworking, loving mother. my oldest son is very respectful, responsible and kind. my youngest son and daughter are not. they are selfish and disrespectful to me and sometimes just plain mean to me. it all started when i got sick. my daughter has diabetes and graves disease also so i struggle to take care of her as well as myself. i have told them that stress makes my conditions worse and to please think of how terrible they make me feel when they scream, yell and cuss at me. they dont care. they do it daily. its killing me, physically and emotionally. i dont know what to do anymore, i feel like im going crazy. its breaking my heart to know that they dont care how sick i am, they dont care how horrible they treat me. i am lost i suppose.

Cut off all joy in their lives. Fucking little spoiled brats is what they are. No allowance, no candy, cook only food that you like. Once they start helping around house and being respectful, then return favors. Or consider taking off the door to their bedrooms. That will piss 'em off royally and maybe get their attention. Who wears the pants in this house? Step up and be a parent, not a BFF.

kick them out I am 18, I was never kicked out and have a lot of respect for and fear of my parents. when I decided I was too good for home though I moved out. It had its positive and negatives. But it sure helps children see the light

i am married but seperated and my husband has raised them since they were very little. one of the reasons we are seperated is because my kids are so damn mean...they disrespect and treat him like shit too.

I have whipped thier butts thier whole lives, I was raised the same way. I grew up on a ranch, my dad was a classic tough old cowboy and we were raised to be respectfull, responsible people. my dad is gone but my mom is now 75 yrs old. i would rather DIE than ever disrespect or hurt my mom in anyway. my kids have been raised the exact same way i was and they are out of hand. i dont get it. maybe im just a dumbass and im missing whats going on with them but i cant imagine what it is.

i have looked for one but i havent been able to find one. and they wouldnt take my daughter anyway because she has chronic diseases. im at a loss, i have called the cops on them and all they do is tell them to be nice thier mom...they nod and smile and agree and then the next day they are total assholes again.
