President, Doug, an arrogant high-school dropout, who has a severe inferiority complex, and an enormous IRS problem is soliciting candidates for upper management. He has hired and fired 2 within the last 8 months who were were not only leaders in the home improvement industry but incredibly gifted analyists. The Chairman of the Board had edicted that net profits for the next three years grow at an accelerated rate and not be destroyed by his lust for expensive German cars, extravicant vacations, drinking binges, and favors for his stable of women, (and very young women), which he solicits, even though he claims he is engaged to a store associate who receives accomodations far beyond any other associate in a similar position. This man is hoplessly disengenious, while deceiving employees, the board of directors, and his own company by removing or redirecting shipments of displays from the stores to his new home where the company is footing 65% of the materials costs. In order to avoid detection, delieveries are made at night and on days that the stores are closed, ie Memorial Day Weekend. Do not be influenced by his promises of support and team commitment. The first time your analysis reveals that the company is in trouble, rather than react to his fiduciary responsibility, he will cut of the head of the messenger. You will be gone within 6-9 months and that portion of your career waisted. Anyone who calls for a reference, gets a portayal of the ex-employee as an under performer who alienated everyone with whom he or she came in contact. Doug is rent-a-cop who works one day a year so he can keep his 'Shield' in order to avoid traffic(ing) citations and prosecutiton Just as Barney , Dougy is not allowed to carry live ammunition. His only threat is to your wife, girlfriend, and, (sometimes male friend), when he stops them and offers leniency for sex or money. Because of an incident where he gained unequivocal leverage over the Chairman of the Board, Jan s impotent when it comes to managing Doug. This has long needed to become public; it is only after I have learned of another life being ruined that I felt compelled to speak out. Byron D.
