maytag washer

We have a Neptune Maytag washer we bought new. After a year we have a scum buildup inside the door. Anything we wash comes out smelling musty. We have 2 new babies that came in April and are afraid to wash thei clothes in this machine. Maytage says sorry, but you are a month out of warranty. I was a Maytag customer, but not anymore.
