Maytag Refrigerator

Purchased Maytag Refrigerator MFF2557HES for $1,947.35 on 7/11/05.On6/28/06 it stopped working. Called repair service after 10 days a new control board was ordered. Replaced the control board on 7/14/06 and found out the fan had to be replaced also. Replaced the fan. On 7/15/06 the refrigerator went out again. Came back and had to replace the control board again. On 7/17/06 replaced the third control board(including original). I asked Maytag and Home Depot for my money back or a new reliable refrigerator. They will not do it but they gave me extended service. I cannot trust this refrigerator. I asked the service man if he has many service calls and he said only on this model- the control boards do not last. I looked up Maytag's customer complaint and they have quite a few. I want my money back or a new reliable refrigerator.They said the agreement states that they cannot refund or replace. I never received an agreement from Home Depot in Salisbury where I purhased it. I am afraid to go away for fear of the refrigerator stopping and me losing my food again - not to mention the inconvenience. My husband and I are retired and cannot afford to purchase another refrigerator. My last refrigerator(when I lived in New Jersey was over 25 yrs. old.
