Mandated Reporter

I am a mandated reporter for DCFS, which means I work with children, and I am legally required to contact the authorities if I suspect neglect or abuse. I have this student I work with - she's 14, and says she still shares a room with her 17-year-old brother. That alone doesn't qualify as abuse or neglect, although it is weird. But sometimes she'll say things, like "I'm more mature than most girls my age", or "I've done things you wouldn't believe". And I'm thinking to myself, I wonder if I should contact the authorities. If I do, and it's nothing, then I could lose my job. If I don't, and it's something, I would feel guilty. I don't know what to do.

You can't lose your job for reporting under the mandated reporter requirement. In fact, they don't even let the person you reported on know it was you that reported. With that said, the most they are guilty of is incest which is pretty common among teens and it doesn't sound like she is unhappy with it, so why worry about it?

Ask about a threesome. You could fuck and suck both of them, and it's a win-win for everyone.

When I was 14 I could probably have said the same type of things. I, as many many other 14 year olds, was sexually active. I can't see why you would make the leap for it to have anything to do with her brother though.

No kidding. And with kids her age even if she said something happened it will likely be a lie for attention.

Until she says something more incriminating you should be quiet. It's to vague of a situation right now.
