2 years ago I was selling ecstasy and weed. That all changed when someone didn't like the way I went about my business. I was robbed at gunpoint. After this person is walking away from me with $1200 of my personal profit and essentially my lifeline, I snapped. Using the pocket knife my father gave me, I exploded off the ground and drove it deep underneath the ribs of the thug who thought we were "playing games". He survived and this was unknown to me for a year. One morning I receive a call from a strange number and I go pale after I learn who it is. They threatened me, my parents, and my friends. Someone who didn't like me had told this total stranger everything about me and my life... So I left. I called everyone I still had connections with in another state. A girl I had been texting for a while had just opened a room in her apartment and allowed me to stay for a bit. I hopped on the next train the following morning. Fast forward. My girlfriend and I have been dating for 2 years now. There used to be passion. Now she spends more time staring at her phone or complaining about how awful her life is. I've been trying to make it work for a long time now. I've had many opportunities to cheat, but I stay faithful. I work 45hr weeks just to have money I can spend on her, yet she steals it out of my wallet. We have so little in common these days. Or maybe I just never noticed. I want her to realize everything I do, I do for her. She's the only thing I feel will last in my life. She's so unhappy. Is it me? Am I trying too hard and pushing her away? I barely even see her because I'm the only one working and the only one paying rent. She swears to me she is trying to find work, or a new apartment for us, general promises all over that are broken.. What do I do?
