I have been with my current girlfriend for 2 years now. Everything I have told her is not who I am really. She thinks I'm Colombian because I look more Hispanic than my true race. I am fluent in Spanish so she believed me. I told her my parents died and I have been adopted ever since I was born. She has met real my parents, but the way they share stories makes my story more believable. I have lied bout my job. She thinks I'm some professional that works for corporate company but I'm just working 2 jobs to have the finances that would match. I have only introduced her to one of my friends because he was with me when we met and he knows what I have done. I've have been caught up in some of my little lies I have told but I get out of it with another lie. The problem is I have fallen for this girl because no matter how much I lie she is still there. I want to come clean but am afraid to. I don't want to lose her and end up heartbroken even though I know anything that happens is my own fault because I dug this whole myself.

If you tell her, you MAY lose her. If she finds out another way, you will DEFINITELY lose her. Stop living a double life and be yourself. When a person lies this much about themselves, it tells me that you don't like who you are. You are pretending to be something/someone you are not. That is the real tragedy here. It is as if you admit to the truth, you are admitting to failure or being less of a man. Give up the charade and work on becoming the man you pretend to be. Good luck.
