Why do the makers of programmes have to have the earspliting music at all, it is bad enough having to distinguish accents without that dreadful noise as well. Why do you employ newsreaders who talk to each other during the programme and drop there voices at the end of most sentences? I am in my late seventies, but thank goodness my hearing is perfect and have no wish to wear a hearing aid. You have had complaints aired on TV asking for the sound to be turned down/off, but to date it has not happened WHY, WHY, WHY?
