lost in moving

My Sister-in-law and partner moved to British Columbia from Ontario. Their furniture was picked up by a mover on June 30, 2006 and was to be delivered on or about July 15th. It has not as yet arrived and whenthey try to contact the moving company, they are lied to or simply hung up on. I have tried to contact them on their behalf and I'm told the privacy act takes effect and the phone slammed in my ear
