This is a confessional/complaint site. People come here to confess/complain. Ideally there are posters here willing to respond to those confessions/complaints with some advice or help while they in turn are getting help and advice for their own confessions/complaints. That's what this “community” is supposed to be about. Coming here to get help for your weaknesses and then staying around to help others from your strengths. Then for good measure you have those who confess nothing of themselves (which wisely prevents them from being in a glass house) while they do nothing but judge and tear down the people who came here to confess and belly ache how this site should be run! You also have those that come here out of the goodness of their heart merely to help people. For those that don't “get it” this “community” site, with the above mentioned posters, HAS been operating to perfection all along. Posters leave the real world and come to this safe haven anonymously asking for help behind the safety of a computer screen. They learn how to deal with their problems as well as how to deal with the kinds of people (as in the real world) who persecute them. By the time they are ready to move on from this site and back into the real world they have the answers to their problems and an insight into to themselves that they never would have had the chance or courage to gain before!! To say this site does not run properly? Vic and Dawn, in example, came to this site on the confessional side. They have held nothing back in confessing and have not masked themselves with false pretences and have let everyone know that what you see is what you get. They have made mistakes and they have made apologies. Both have taken their lumps from that and both, in their separate ways, have made progress in learning how to deal with their problems and those that persecute them for their problems. Commendable! I came to Raw on the complaint side. I stayed around to answer other's complaints and made some awesome friends along the way. One of those friends managed to start tearing down my wall that I had simply made thicker and thicker as the years had gone by to keep everyone out and everything that has happened to me in. In tearing down that wall it opened a floodgate of everything I have held in. I switched over to RawConfessions and confessed the good, the bad and the extremely ugly as far back as the child abuse I was born into. What a rush and release that was. I took my lumps for it. But, you know what? The three of us women (along with a lot of the posters on here who I won't name without permission) have had the guts to make ourselves vulnerable to everyone on Raw (as Dawn with AA continues to do and is bashed for her daily confessions on a confessional site...wtf?) and we learned from the lumps we took mostly from those who hide behind anonymous, anonymous screen names and who judge, but have probably not had the courage to confess a thing. The next time you complain there is no confessions/complaints anymore...what are you brave enough to confess in the hope of gaining answers/insights from the caring posters of Raw and to learn a way to deal with those that WILL persecute you on Raw and have persecuted you in the real world? The poster who tore down my wall and had me confessing everything also handed me a “do over” for my life and that is a debt I can never repay! I plan to move forward with my life again and use that “do over” to it's fullest. If I only leave one thing behind for having been on Rawcomplaints/confessions it would be to help posters with the most important lesson in life to learn from Raw that can be taken back to the real world and that would be—how to deal with those that persecute you. When people throw lemons at you use your intellect, imagination and your own self confidence to serve them back lemonade. On #20182 I jokingly showed how you can turn a negative into a positive. But, if you want to be the overall better person, don't lower yourself to their level. If you respond to a Doberman that is about to attack with your teeth bared and are growling there will be a fight. If you respond to that Doberman with love, kindness and a gentle voice you stand a better chance of taming that beast, escaping unharmed and will have made a new friend. This was the message Christ came to tell us. Respond to anger and bitterness with LOVE (positive) which defeats negative. You have the power (positive love of Christ) within you to move mountains. This is a safe haven confessional site. Confess your good, your bad and your ugly and learn to deal with ALL of it and even with those that seek to persecute you. If you can't make it on Raw, you'll never make it in the real world and that is a fact. I leave you Peace and Love and a hope for some happiness in everyone's life! God Bless!! This is where I unplug and move on with my life. Wish me luck, I hope! ;)
