Kickback Job

I was laid off 7 months ago from a full time job after 5.5 years. 2 months ago I started this long term contract job (still in I.T.) my role is a regular level, not an involved lead like I used to be. I am doing basic test case writing work and am a me to complete my tasks very fast. The more I do, the more my lead gives me from her load because I finish so fast. The project hasn't gotten busy yet and I may be here at least another year. I get paid a lot hourly and have minimal responsibilities. No work to take home, no meetings, barely any emails etc. I spend half my day on the web, twitter, eBay etc (using my phone mostly). Also, my lead is pregnant so she's in lala land and not fully engaged at work. Should I just keep taking it easy and enjoy it or keep asking for more work? I don't want to 'steal' money or work slower just because they aren't expecting a lot now and I know it will be busier in a few months. Shouldn't they assign work and follow up since I'm paid a lot?
