I'm trying to help a family member (teen) by giving love, support, structure, direction & consequences. They shrug it off giving no support or consequences when needed. Why should they, it isn't their family member who will spend their life behind bars for making a bad choice. This kid was verbally abused most of his life & has 'learned' behavior. When you get on their but about it then 'they want to lock him up!' He has made alot of progress & gotten his high school diploma. He was working yet they they violated him for not going to a program!
