Is it abuse?

Straight to the point; my stepdad grabbed me by the neck; and broke a pretty thick window with my face. For saying the word fuck. I have a few scars. Truth is he does something like that like twice a year. I'm not shaken up by it or anything. I just want to know; is it normal or should this guy be locked away?

Yes it's abuse. He needs to be in jail and you need to get out of that house and receive counseling.

Of course it's abuse!! And yes he NEEDS to be locked up!! Don't listen to the other comments. They're nuts. No one, and I mean NO ONE has the right to physically assault you in such a violent and dangerous manner. You have the right to say any words you want. He may not agree with it but his reaction is that of a dangerous psychopath. Tell someone you trust immediately. Take care.

It is not abuse. Ask yourself if you behave or not... Saying the word fuck is not something very nice as you can imagine. If you give him respect you will get respect.

hell yes this is abuse. and maybe locking him away isn't the answer, not until you've got yourself out of the house. but whether you're shaken by it now or not, you will be having issues later. i guarantee it.
