In love with my best friend

I'm a woman and my best friend is a guy. I dated him for almost 2 years a few years ago but we split up because he had to move and the long distance thing wasn't working. I've been with my new boyfriend for 2 and a half years but after spending time with my best friend after not seeing him for a few years in person, my love for him came back. Really, it's never gone away and I know he feels the same way about me because he's told me many times. I know my current boyfriend wants to ask me to marry him but I keep thinking about my best friend I'm in love with. My feelings for my boyfriend are fading and every time I kiss him I wish I was kissing my best friend. Now I'm trying to get my best friend to move here because he lives in the city and hates cities and his current girlfriend never wants to leave the city. I want him to move here so we can be close even if we don't end up dating again..

Well when I saw my best friend he said to me, we need to talk about this (about him and I) because we'd been talking about how we were when we were dating and how nice it was. And I, being so stupid said I needed to move on and stop thinking about him and I being together because I am currently with a really incredibly nice guy. But since I said that, more and more I'm not wanting to be with my current boyfriend. I told my best friend this and he said sorry, its too late, when you told me you had to give up the thought of us being together, I decided that I'd try and be the best boyfriend to my current girlfriend so I'm not leaving her now. I think if I was able to see him more, things would change but we both live about 2000 miles apart and just happened to get to see each other when we were visiting our relatives who live in the same town. He keeps telling me that the only thing keeping him from moving here is lack of money and his girlfriend. I keep asking him why he's staying with her when he knows she never wants to leave the city and he doesn't want to stay in the city very long.
