I bet you will always be with an abusive man. Some women just cannot feel any sort of attraction for a man unless he is abusive, and ALL women love some sort of male domination and control. Sounds like you have taken to the extreme sort of male domination, I can understand why you like it, but you should not complain about your current bf. Look at is another way, say to yourself, "my new bf could kick my wimpy ex's ass off the street! I am so proud and happy to be with a MAN who really is an ass kick'in MAN!" If you don't want him to hit you so much, you need to tell him that your ex is bugging you, telephoning you or something, that way he will direct his rage at your ex.
