im in love with my step brother why

ok well first off im a 14 year old girl and well im in love with my step brother and he's older than me he is 23 I don't know why im so attracted to him or love him so much. we had a bound since I was nine when his mum and my dad met and since then he has been there for me and has been very protective of me. Not only that I know he feels the same way because he has told me and yes at the moment we are together I know this wrong me being under age and being his step sister but why does it feel so right to be with him I mean I only found all this out when I was with my ex boyfriend who wasn't very good the me and we will leave it at that but when I was with my ex and I stayed with my step brother I would cuddle into him and he didn't really mind and I would fall asleep on him and he would carry me or walk me up to me bed and put me to bed and kiss my forhead and say I love you. and knowing that I love my step brother and that I didn't love my ex boyfriend I told that it wasn't working and that I had fallen for someone else and then my ex beat me I run home to my brother and straight into his arms I told him everything what happened and asked and begged him not go and hurt my ex not for his sake but for my brothers like I said I know this is wrong but why does it feel so right im happy with my step brother our parents know about us two and they seem to be fine with it as they know that we make each other happy but why do I love him so much.
