Im getting surgery, by choice.

I am a 21 year old male college student from Philadelphia. I currently weigh about 310 lbs and don't even like to leave the house most days because I am so ashamed of how I look. I recently met with bariatric surgeons and found that I am a good candidate for surgery. Not a single one of my family or friends know and I think I am going to try to keep it that way. I look at it as a sign of weakness to use surgery as a form of weight loss, but I have tried so many other options for years and none gave been a success. The largest thing I will have to overcome is the decision to leave my boyfriend in the dark. We've only been together about two months so we don't see each other usually more than once or twice a week. This way, I can get away with being in the hospital for a post-op recovery period of about 2-3 days. I know it will be tough to keep this secret from so many that care for me, but I don't want any judgement or ignorance holding me back I need to do this for me. But truth be told, I am terrified :-(

You're a fucking retard, perhaps if you Google the word "bariatric surgery," you would realize what it actually is.. Bariatric surgery is by no means involving a surgeon actually removing fat from your body. It is where they seal off a portion of your stomach, either by band or stapling, so that you can only eat about 2-4 oz of food at a time. So yes, it does indeed change a person's metabolism, fucktard. So do your research before you decide to bash someone you fucking asshole. Go ahead sweetie, do your thing and change you're life for the better! Good luck and god bless you for being so brave in doing this alone.
