Ignoring Jerks

I have an idea for the upcoming year 2007. When you see an obviously inflammatory post treat it like spam and move on. The only effectiveness that the antagonistic person has is if he/she can get a reaction. Naturally, the whole intent of the jerk is to offend or to irritate readers, but if the poster gets no reaction what next? The poster could try becoming more outrageous in an effort to get a reation, but if everyone holds the line he/she is simply talking to him/herself. and will fade into the woodwork.
