If I had only had a crystal ball I would have met you sooner. I would have stopped you in your tracks and I would have kept you for my own. How is it that who we're with are so vastly different from who we are down to the very marrow of ourselves. To know that we'll never hurt our loved ones and simply steal away moments as they come is some solace for the nights apart. I love you with all of my heart and after that last night I know you really do love me too. To know in my heart as well as in my mind that you love me that way, it makes it hard to dream sometimes of anything but you. You could have held my face and kissed me all night and I would have been happy with that alone but you continue to give more of yourself. You are more than I could have ever asked for. Knowing that the emotion I feel is not unrequited makes my heart heavy... it beats slow and long and hard in your presence. I hope that never changes. I love you. Decades of friendship and years of more only make it clearer to me how special and irreplaceable you are in my life.
