I'm may be going to jail for 10 years

Because I posted an ad on Craiglist looking for an adult, there was nothing in the ad that stated I was looking for underage. And I'm not into underage girls. But the person who answered my ad said they were 14 (except they were part of a sting operation) and I continued to talk to them. The conversation got sexual but no plans were made to meet, I never went to meet this person, and by the time I was arrested I had told this individual I wasn't interested because it was illegal and I could get in trouble. I don't know what possessed me to talk sexually. I guess I have had fantasies about being with younger girls around 15 or 16, but it's more just finding them attractive when they are developing their womanly bodies. But now I am going to be convicted of luring a child through the internet. In my opinion the police lured me into this situation when I clearly had no intent of looking for someone underage. They took everything, my computer, hard drives, cameras...and I work in a field that requires those things. So they completely fucked my career and now my life because I chatted sexually with someone who said they were 14. After prison I will be a registered sex offender for life. There have been cases of female teachers having sex with underage students and getting probation. I never touched anyone. And now I am looking at a minimum of 1 year, but where I live these cases usually get the maximum which is 10 years. My life is destroyed because of this. I don't think it's fair at all, I am no threat to anyone. People who have found out about my case believe I should be put away for life and that I'm a child molester and pedophile. I have lost all my family and most of my friends because of this. Rapists get less time than I could be facing. I guess I deserve it. The law is there for a reason. My life is ruined now. I am seriously considering killing myself before my conviction. I had a promising career and a great life. Now it's all gone. Watch who you talk to online and what you say, the fucking government is pretty much reading everything you put online.

You know it is all fun to post BS stories and BS confessions here just to keep things going and have fun seeing how weird people can get. it's fun to write to someone else fantasy. Truth is that young girls are a gift.. They are like flower to be admired but never picked. I feel for you because it is so easy for a conversation to go from one thing to another and get out of hand. As for me 18 is it. If I even get an hint that I am dealing with someone under age I am out without even saying good bye. good luck

Well, it's sad sir i wish they would set up sting operation on here to get some of the real pedophiles on here not meaning you also what about these minor children underage trying to meet older males well i hope things go for the better

Dont listen to thes other bigots! 14 year old girls are very sexually active these days. And you were clearly entrapped! It is crazy that you cant even look at someoen today without being labeled a pedophile or a rapist. I wish you the best of luck. And all these other people talking against you. Go kill yourself sicko. Remove everything you wrote except for that one line that says you tried to have sex with a 14 year old. That's all you needed to say. The rest is nonsense. The law is there for a reason. To protect children from people like you. I mean, who looks at 15 or 16 year olds as an adult and finds them attractive? You know who does that? Pedophiles. If you find yourself attracted to a 16 year old you are by definition a pedophile. It doesn't matter that you didn't go through with it. You are being put away because the police found out what you really are and it's their job to protect the people. I am a 24 year old guy and I haven't found a 15 year old or 16 year old attractive or sexually appealing since I was 15 or 16. Once I hit 18 anyone under my age immediately had no appeal to me. Why? Because I'm not a pedophile like you. You should have gone to therapy to deal with your problem instead of trying to act on it. I'm so glad the police caught you before you started raping children, because it's obvious you were intent on doing exactly that. They should put you in with Jerry Sandusky. I agree with the other commenter. You are an evil person. If that had been a 14 year old you would have scarred them for life and ruined them psychologically. Ten years is not enough for this crime. It should be mandatory life sentence. But do us all a favor and kill yourself so we don't have to pay to keep you alive. Society is now rid of one less child molester and we are now safer with you locked up. People like you are the worst kind of people on the planet. You tried to have sex with a child yet you try to make excuses to justify your actions and dismiss the fact that you are a pedophile. You are a pedophile. What you did is the same as having raped a real 14 year old because you obviously were fantasizing about it. You can still go to jail even if you express the desire to have sex with underage children. You will be lucky to survive a year. They kill guys like you. If she said she was 14 the law states you must immediately stop talking to her or tell her no she's too young. But you didn't.
