I started talking to an old friend of mine (male) about 2 years ago thinking stupidly we could be friends. Big mistake! First of all we at both married, well he's separated from his wife for about 3 years now, and I am married. I thought it could be like the good ole days when we were old chums except for the fact he started wanting more and more from me and I started to reciprocate those feelings. We started talking excessively and grew very close. My husband knew but didn't like it Then one day he randomly freaked out and told me he never wanted me to see/talk to him again and if I loved him so much get the fuck out So basically he gave me an ultimatum I told my friend in an email because I am a wimp one , and 2 I didn't know how he'd react in person, That it was best we didn't talk anymore He said that he understood and seemed slightly hurt, was not angry at all I don't know how this happened I guess I should've known better I love my husband but I really miss my friend too He was always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. But I don't want to disrespect my husband by going behind his back as I told him we'd no longer talk Any suggestions

I suggest you maintain a low profile and feel free to have intake relations with your friend, because YOLO and he is your friend he must know you better and it's not a shame to cheat on your husband he is a man and can find anyone easily. Or just simply ask your husband if you both could go swing :) good luck - therapist James
